Mum said grandad and grandma were coming back from Australia so in my mind I said I might be getting ankle boots! Friday was the day we were going to pick up my grandad and grandma. I was so happy that this was going to happen at 5.30. Now it's 5.15. Mum says we should go now.
"Ya ya" in my head.
Now we are there. Mum said "Grandad and grandma are coming back in 3 mins."

It's been 3 mins but mum says they will be back in 15 mins.
"Ok." I said.

NOW THEY ARE HERE. YA YA!!

They say "my boots are not in my size" in a whisper. But we got back there and my BOOTS WERE THERE! OH MY GOSH!
I take the boots out excitedly.  "Thank you so much, oh my GOSH."
I put them on. They are so cool. Then my family come over. Then I put my boots on like it's a fashion show.  Then my bro says "Those boots are swag".
My dad says "You are very lucky son."
I knew that I was.

     I like this blog post because  I tried my hardest. I was really excited to do this task. I think I did good in this task because I did my best.

ANKLE BOOTS

Father Thierry Hazrd. Eden hazrd was in belgium for 8 years.

This is my passion project and I am happy and not happy at the same time. The happy reason is because I used my absorption muscles. And the not happy reason is because I didn't finish it. I got my notes done for some paragraphs.

What would have helped you to get further? Managing Distractions so I could keep on track well.

What was the most challenging part of your passion project? Finding facts and reading well.

What was surprising about your passion project? That I didn’t finish it- I might have thought it was a bit easier than it was.

Did you follow your plan well? Why or why not? I didn’t follow the plan because I didn’t finish it.

Which learning muscles did you use the most while you were working on your passion project Absorption.

How did you use each one?  Absorption by sitting in the quiet room and focusing on my task.

Which learning muscles did you find difficult to stretch during passion project time Managing distractions because some of my work was with Amos, and sometimes we worked hard and sometimes distracted.

Persuade, Entertain or Inform?

I am learning to communicate my ideas effectively to the reader.

You choose the topic and you choose the writing purpose. This needs to be your best independent writing for assessment. Below is the success criteria for quality writing. Use this criteria and go for it!

Success Criteria (Sentence formation has been our main focus)
Content & Ideas	Include a range of ideas with clear details.
Sentence Formation	Include simple, compound and complex sentences Start most of my sentences with different words
Vocabulary	Choose words and language features to meet my purpose.
Structure	Clear beginning, middle and end with paragraphs.
Spelling	My best spelling with good attempts at words I don’t know.
Punctuation	Use all basic punctuation (capital letters, full stops, question marks and exclamation marks) correctly and attempt some complex punctuation.

THE ABANDONED SCHOOL

Me, Cam, Amos,Rory and Brayden  planned to go to a ABANDONED school it was very scary that we were going. At parkvale we planned it there so I said have a torch,wenpen,bag and black clothes. We get our black bikes and ride off to the abandoned school we were very nervous. So we arrived at the HUGE SCHOOL.

It was so big like movie world  I was like what the heck am I doing.

So we got in there so much glass that every foot step we did there was gikling. Everyone went to room 5 and they said this room is very casual because the radio was going so we were listening to the beats in room 5.

We got in the office it was very very creepy because the  lights was itching  so we got out of that room quick what I mean is very quick. We font there was a ghost was behind us but it was the cold air. Then we moved to room 21

Oh my gosh there is a horse in here. We better run for

Our life guys the HORSE is going to KILL us oh no.

Here goes the horse again and it has stop chasing

us so that was great and now we don’t have to

Worry about the horse. Now we got to the toilets

It sitck like poo. at the last toilets I saw a GHOST

Oh no then I turned around and no one was there they must of

dich me  so I ran aroud the whole school and I didn’t find them.

And now I have to go in the rooms in head why did we plan this

This was the stupidist idea I have in my life.  I went to room 1 and they were in there and I said to them why did you ditch me because it was going to be funny. Then I said no it wasn’t funny guys now we have to go back the toiltes they say ooook lets go boys then we get there we where sared for our lifes then we when to the the LAST TOILTES oh no run for your lifes. In my head I said there

Was there was no ghost so went back there we got at the last toilte now guys get ready to run nope we don’t have to run now.

That was the end of the toiltes said”  brayden. Cameron said I won’t food ok I said then we see the horse again all of as say the hores is still here no we  think we will leave the

School now so lets ran for our lifes buddys. We got out of the school but I trope my wolite

So I said we have to get it Amos says not nowww and I said yes now and I see I right beside the fece so I pick it up now lets go home boys. We got back home And… The door was opneing

And closing So I went to Amos house And the same thing was happing to him now I went back to my house And went to sleep and no bad derams.

THE END!!!

I am proud of this because I tried my hardest and my best. This is one of my favourite writing tasks I have done this year so far. I think I did my best in this free choice writing task.

MY READING TASK

This is my reading task I think I did my best. I was trying to take notes well. I did my best because I showed pride and tried my hardest. This is one of my favourote reading tasks I have done in rimu hub.

Learning is tricky

This is a piece of writing I did with Mrs Hill. We had to be very mean to ourselves (critical) and honest about what we needed to work on in our learning. It was hard but good.

Learning is tricky when I get into my divisions. I am feeling very frustrated because it is my reading of problems. I always want to give up when learning gets hard.  It is very hard to focus when people are shouting over

the room. When learning gets tricky I always go to my learning buddy

to get help but if they can’t help I always talk to my friends.

My learning muscles that I need to use are ok because I think I

can change them. I think I could be aware what I am doing and

try my hardest not to get distracted. I need to stop saying I need help because I need to try my hardest.
When I am managing my distractions you will see me focus and try my hardest. When I get in trouble I try and stop it.

I think I did really good because I did my best and did mistakes but I learnt 

from it so that was good. We did it with Miss hill and that is different because

you guys do writing with Mr M, Mrs Carr and Mrs Love. With Miss Hill it is very fun because we do fun writing and do projects.

Napier City Rovers, Ball boy.

When I arrived at the Napier City Rovers stadium, I was really exited because I was going to be a ball boy. But first we had a training with the Napier City Rovers and I got some good skills so I am going to use those skills in my games. Then we had a big look around the stadium- it was really cool. Then we saw all the players in the team. Some people got their signatures and they loved it. Then the game started. Some of the people were  ball boys in the first half and some of the people were in the second half of the game. 

So the second half had began so I went on the pitch to my side. Then the game started. It was not really fun because I was't getting the ball so I was just standing the most of the time. Then I finally get the ball and that was it! No more balls coming back to me. Then Mrs Love came and took a photo of me and in my mind I was like "please no balls come at this time." and that was the of the game. We won 4-1 and that was a great day
